Asset custody, maximum security
Safeguarding financial assets is a highly important matter for our clients.
In every market were they operate, Munita, Cruzat & Claro have built the maximum security levels existing, and allowing our investors to be at ease knowing that their assets are under the best safeguard.
For international investments, Munita, Cruzat & Claro trusts custody and operation to the Bank of New York through its Pershing division, which currently is one of the world’s private financial institutions with the largest quantity of assets under its custody. In Chile, the Bank of New York also acts as custodian for the most important domestic financial institutions and companies.
On the other hand, and for best safeguard, investment accounts have SIPC and Excess-SIPC insurance, covering 100% of the assets under custody.
For local operations, Munita, Cruzat & Claro operate through the Deposito Central de Valores (DCV), an independent agency supervised by the Superintendencia de Valores y Seguros (SVS). The DCV is in charge of managing securities deposit and custody by facilitating the transactions electronic processing and registration. This agency has the highest security levels in the country for operation control, as well as for custody itself.
